On (2000)
Functioning door, neon, perspex
10 x 81 x 203cm
In the unlit, dark corridor there seems to be a door, with light coming from beyond through a frosted panel, and shining a little from the crack under the door. But open it (in either direction) and there is only another dark corridor beyond. The light exists only within the thickness of the door.
This piece was made for the maze of dark spaces and corridors in the London Roundhouse's undercroft.
