Secret Sea no2 (1984-5)

On a sea of blood in a bowl, a tiny sailing boat sails. Over it a plastic sheet, on the inside of which the originally warm blood has caused to mist with condensation, slightly obscuring the image. All sits on a wooden stool.  

Blood replaces within us the primordial sea which oxygenated the first living cells. The sea is within us and draws us at the same time
